Great tips. Had a wonderful first trip and can't wait to go back to one of my new favorite cities in the world. Thanks, brother!
Only in New Orleans, you gotta tell people not to pee in public…smh.
I think July and August is the best time to go to New Orleans, it's not as busy!! But, yes it is Hot and HUMID!!!
You can call it nawlins newolin or Nola nobody cares it's laid back.
Idk why this was in my recommendations.. I live in Louisiana near New Orleans and go there all the time 😂
As someone who spent most of their life moving to New Orleans right before Halloween and moving out of New Orleans right after Mardi Gras, this is a very accurate video. Good job. Not to much I can think to add other than follow your instincts. If you feel uneasy, go ahead and move back out of whatever you were walking into.
Well It is called New Or leans, because it is named by the French after the city of Orleans which is spelled Or Leans
I know folks from New Orleans with the accent and they say Nawlins.
Mardi Gras appareal

Bring a gun
pray-leens or prah-leens???
Be careful after midnight
That is so informative! Thanks we are leaving for New Orleans this week for the Family gras. ❤
DUDE ,,, STFU 4 real
As a native, I'd say even locals sleep on the WWII museum. DO NOT. It's so worth going. If you have any interest in history, have vets/active servicemen or women in your family, or whatever you need to go. Several exhibits hit really hard, and should be seen by every american.
DONT go in the Mississippi River
All this just seems like common sense for any big city ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I will say though, one of the things I experienced is a guy trying to hustle us. He literally just came up on my cousin and started “shining” his shoes and then tried to ask for money. Like my man, you might want to lead with what you’re charging before you put your hands on someone’s shoes.
guys im backpacking, can someone tell me how many days i should stay to fully enjoy the city
THANKS <3
Your sweat is sweating….I’ve never heard truer words describing Louisiana
Explore outside downtown & the quarter. There is so much more to see & do, outside of the city! The Garden District is beautiful. Magazine street is a blast, lots to do & see. Abita has an awesome brewery!
#8 & #12 are the Gospel Truth.
I watched this video before going to New Orleans last May. It gave me some helpful tips and I really loved the trip. Kept my wallet in my front pocket while I was there thanks to you btw.
He is so right about telling someone to hurry up. It's in my DNA to slow down when i hear that. I work at Harrahs, and even we are completely diffent from most casinos.
😂 we're going to NO towards the end of July
dont drink the water still bad ask around locals
3:36 the game stop is still there 😳
Keep your card, cash, and ID in your front pocket. Leave your wallet at the hotel room.
DON'T…..watch this video.
Is one of my favorite videos even know I gained a lot of information from you helping us travel to Germany and tips going to Italy next but I had no idea about all these things in New Orleans I might actually go there.
you’re just amazing person I don’t know how you could be so positive and wonderful, doing DONTS video over all but it’s so positive and it’s very helpful.
Use Lyft when going back from Bourbon late at night, not Uber. Lyft is way cheaper.
I'm from New Orleans, 7th ward! For my people who hood. Don't get offended when somebody say Wazzam bitch. That's our lingo. It is a greeting but when they say bitch wazzam, that's fighting words lol. Also, try crawfish from Cajuns on Claiborne or Cajun Corner on Behrman hwy. Not everybody have good crawfish. Also, when you get beignets, only get them from Cafe Du Monde. Protect yourself, we really struggling out here so watch your back. Don't walk alone. Make sure you have a way home because them hand grenades not nice lol. The streetcar only takes you up and down Canal. So, if you want to visit the 9th ward, Westbank or any other location, please make sure you have your own transportation. Most importantly, have fun.
My grandma was born and raised in New Orleans — and she ALWAYS called it "N'yawlins"!!!!
I LOVE!!! You New Orleans Respect all the way from NYC and Baltimore City
Dont go in usa full of criminality and bad food and fat people overfed in front of their tv
#1 should be "Don't go". It's a sweaty, stinking hole in the ground full of people who think the sun shines out their ass, it's a tourist rip off far more effective than TJ ever dreamed of being… and it smells like piss.
Excellent first point: it's not N'Awlins or New Orleens! Only outsiders or songwriters call it that.
And don't see in the street. You don't do that back home, I hope.
Try some beignets. And coffee with chicory, like an Orleanian.
That’s why it’s called the Big Easy 😂
