This made me want to go so bad! I was supposed to go with friends for spring break because we found incredibly priced airfares, but one said she wouldn't go to the Big Island. She said there isn't much to do and there aren't many beaches and most of it is just a big lava field. I wish I had seen this video before the plane tickets rose in prices so that I could have shown her just how incredible this island is and how wrong her claims were!

I've been to Hawai'i Island numerous times from the 1970s up until the 1990s. Seeing snow atop the Mauna Loa volcano was a favourite. And visiting Parker Ranch, one of the largest ranches in the United States.

Only thing is that they’re building so many homes and hotels along the coastline idk how long it will last until it’s all gone or become private beaches. Also the islands are basically seen only as resorts, talk about respect for the natives.

Just returned from an 11 night trip there late last month. My favorite thing was driving to the summit of MaunaKea. Gave a couple girls from NC and an engaged couple from the Chech Republic a ride up and back down, since they didn't have 4 wheel drive.

Volcanoes National Park was awesome as well. Do not go there without going to the end of the road by the arch. Probably the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen on a drive. Breathtaking and absolutely amazing.

We had tons of Kona coffee trees at the place we stayed a few thousand feet above sea level. It had an amazing ocean view as well. You can't just pick the green beans and make your own coffee though, man. A bit more goes into it than that. Do a coffee tour at Greenwell Farms like I did to check it out. 😉

    Cool video though for sure.
