Never buy a Visitor Oystercard unless you will actually use the extra discounts that come with it. Which is unlikely. You can't get the deposit back. Just get one when you arrive and you CAN get it back.

I will visit London for 4 days and my hotel is in zone 1. I am planing to stay in zones 1 and 2 as the main attractions are in those zones. How much money would you say I should add to oyster card?

Just remember, in the UK, cars and buses + etc. drive on the left <- side of the road.
