For all the patriotic yahoos BTL: the NYT is trying to make it easy for American tourists to 'do' Ireland and, yes, Belfast is in Ireland (the island, that is). So, if they had 'Belfast, UK' many viewers would immediately start thinking…..London….Manchester….Edinburgh.
Belfast is beautiful! Rockets and moon cats are everywhere but the city is amazing for food, music, local pubs and the history is ancient.
Surely you mean Northern Ireland? 🙄
